Contiguous Pile Walls

Contiguous pile walls are used in situations where unstable soils and sands are present and retention is required. The walls are installed before excavation so adjacent buildings and structures are fully supported and protected from damage or collapse. Contiguous pile walls are a line of unconnected but closely spaced concrete grout-injected or bored piles that form a retaining wall prior to excavation of a below-ground area. The process causes minimum vibration.

Bored Piers

400mm, 450mm, 600mm, 750mm, 900mm, 1200m up to a depth of 26 metres. The highly mobile 26 tonne drilling rig is adaptable to a wide range of piling situations and difficult sites. Bored piles are founded into rock, providing an effective means of minimising foundation settlement with little vibration. For more information on bored piers/bored piles,

Soldier Piles

Walls are formed using the concrete grout injection method or bored piers. The piles are spaced along the wall at intervals of 1.0 - 2.4 metres using suitable materials to infill such as concrete panels, timber sleepers or shotcrete.

Foundation Piling

Foundation piling can be constructed using continuous flight auger grout injection drilling or bored piers. The best way to transfer weight from heavy loads through compressible and weak soils to a more stable and structurally sound rock or soil base beneath is through the use of foundation piling. AClass Piling have decades of knowledge and experience when it comes to the potential need for foundation Piling.

CFA Piling

300mm, 400mm, 450mm and 600mm, 750mm drilling depth of 9m, 14-tonne highly-manoeuvrable drilling rig suitable for difficult sites. Along with 26 tonne CFA drill rig capability of drilling 15 metres deep. Continuous flight auger piling has the advantage of minimum vibration and noise during installation and is suitable for closely settled areas. The constantly rotating auger retains the walls of a drill hole without requiring the insertion of a casing when used in conjunction with grout-injected piles. A concrete grout mixture is injected into the hole as the auger is withdrawn under pressure, thus forming a pile. Concrete grout injected piles with a continuous flight auger rig can be installed through unstable and saturated soils and low to medium strength rock. This speeds up the process, requires less manpower and is a cost-effective solution to the construction of concrete grout injection piles.

Secant Piling

A Secant Piled Wall is a retaining wall constructed for ground retention prior to excavation. The wall is formed by constructing alternating primary (female) and secondary (male) piles where the secondary piles partially cut into either side of the primary piles in order to form a continuous impervious structure.
